Serbian coach: We hope to make it to the semifinals

Captain Sutadta: “I am not sad, because we played at our best, especially in the first set. Unfortunately that was not enough to win the match”.

Thai coach Kulchim Sanong: “Serbia disposes of very strong and tall players; they served very well and after the first set our reception was no longer that good, so our efficiency in attack and blocking decreased. We’ll probably play against Belgium in the next round, they are extremely strong so we have not an easy way waiting for us”.

Serbian captain Danica Radenkovic: “It was a very tough match, especially in the first set the Thais played greatly in defense and they also had the amazing support of their audience. We made too many mistakes in the first set but then got the situation under proper control”.

Coach Marjana Mirosavljevic: “I am happy with the result, it was not an easy task at all. Now we’ll continue match by match; we’ll probably play against Japan, their style is similar to the way Thailand plays but I think they are at a higher level. The Serbian team has always ambitious goals for any competition and here I really hope we can make it to the semifinals”.
