Dominican head coach Enrique Larrazaleta admits that Brazilians are too strong for his side

Brazilian
Head coach Luizomar de Moura
“It’s a good match. Dominican Republic had a strong attack, but we just produced good blockings. I think our match against Dominican Republic and the previous match against Slovakia is totally different. Against Slovakia, we played nervously because it was our first match in the championship, but we came back much stronger against the Dominicans. We next take on Italy. I think the Italians are very strong in the world volleyball, but here it’s the school volleyball. It’s different. We have to go back and plan for the match against them.

Captain Rosane Maggioni
“I have the similar comment as my head coach. However, I think we should play better in some critical moments. We just made too many mistakes. We try to get better and better from the matches we play.”

Dominican Republic
Head coach Enrique Larrazafeta
“I think it’s an easy match today because Brazil is too strong. We prove no match against them. Before coming here, I had initially targeted that my girls would finish top eight in the championship. Due to the successive two losses, we now have to compete in the 9th-16th classification round instead. We will try our best in our last match in the first round against Slovakia.”

Captain Yeniffer Cristina Ramirez Espinal
“Brazil played much better than us. We could not match them tactically and technically. We have to do our best in the next match against Slovakia.”
