"We reasonably aim at the seventh place" says Thai coach after qualification for the next round

German captain Anna Hoja: “We played much better than yesterday against Serbia, off course there is some disappointment after this second defeat but we’ll give our best to clinch the 9th place and finish this World Championship as solidly as possible”.

Coach Stefan Brauer: “My team has got a strange feature: as soon as we have nothing to lose, we start playing quite well, but then as soon as we have a chance, we make too many mistakes and that hampers significantly our overall performance as well as our ambitions. We have to learn something from that and strive for improving game after game; this is the first international experience for these girls after the European Championships we had last April, so the girls have to get used to play at such a level and this is not easy. Congratulations to the Thai team, it was really great to play in such a marvelous ambiance and the spectators were extremely fair even though they cheered tirelessly for their girls”.

Thai star Sutadta Chuewulim: “It was great to have so many people supporting Thailand. We had some ups and downs but we are more than happy with our result”.

Coach Sanong Kulchim concluded: “I expect a very hard match for tomorrow against Serbia, they played very powerfully and they are very tall and physically strong. We are qualified for the next round but honestly I think that our goal is to finish 7th or 8th, because all the teams competing here are extremely solid and strong”.
