China outclasses Tunisia in quick three setter

Chinese block in action against Tunisia's Soussi
Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, July 5, 2009. Both teams being out of contention for a spot among the top eight, China and Tunisia resumed to the court seeking for their first victory in this World Championship. China was especially looking for redemption: the defending champions really disappointed in the matches against Peru and Turkey, but this time the opponent appeared to be well within their reach. The girls of coach Wang Jiaqin stormed quickly through the first set for an easy 25-9 and continued with their good performance also in the second section of the game, even though the Africans showed some more resistance there, especially thanks to captain Maroua Boughanmi. China was sensibly weakened after main spiker Liu Mingjuan got injured in the training session staged right before the match against Turkey, but anyway the Asians were definitely too strong for Tunisia and finished their job in less than an hour (25-9, 25-15, 25-8).
