Team profile

The team particularly had great results in the ‘90s. The team finished 3rd at the World Youth Boys’ Championship in 1991 and 1993. The team finished 2nd at the Asian Youth Boys’ Championship in 1997 and won the championship title in 1999.

 

Since 2000s, the team has been out of spotlight in World Level. The team finished 6th at the World Youth Boys’ Championship in 2001 and finished 9th at the World Youth Boys’ Championship in 2005.

 

The national team finished 2nd at the Asian Youth Boys’ Championship in 2005, 4th in 2007 and 3rd place in 2010.

 

In this event, the main purpose of Korea team is to advance semi-final to restore the glory of Korea Volleyball in 1990s. For this purpose, KVA selected best players and predict they will archive our goal in 2011 World Youth boys’ Championship in Argentina.

Coach profile

Mr. KIM, Eun-Chul has been nominated as a head coach of the National Youth Boys’ Team. Mr. KIM coached Korean Youth Boys’ team in 2001 and 2005 and he made the good results in both Asian Championship and World Championship. He has been in charge of a head coach of high school from 1987 and his team had good result in many national Volleyball Championships. Also he has a good reputation and outstanding results and career as one of the best head coaches in Korea.
