Tunisia took advantage ok opponents' mistakes

Tunisia established a high wall against Puerto Rico

Mahdi Sammoud, Captain of Tunisia: “We played very good today but relaxed a little in the second set. Then we succeeded trying to fight that problem recovering from the loss in the second set and playing solid the rest of the match.”

Lotfi Ben Slimane, Coach of Tunisia: “It was not an easy victory. I think the difference was the total of direct errors. I hope this is a good start for us and we will try to start from here to play better and better. It is always good from the mental aspect of the team to win the first match.”

Josue Rivera, Captain of Puerto Rico: “The worst we have played in some time now. The attitude was not a good one and our happy game wasn’t there either. The passing was very bad and we really didn’t play our game.”

Ariel Diaz, Coach of Puerto Rico: “Tunisia served very well and we didn’t receive well. It affected the other fundamental skills. They took advantage of all our mistakes. Their attack was too high for our blocking. They played very well and we played very bad. For us to play better need to improve our reception and take more risks with our serves.”
