French boys with second win

France needed four sets to familiarize themselve with 25-23, 25-15, 21-25 and 25-18 to Puerto Rico, the second victory in Pool G, and thus securing a place in the round for places 9 to 12 in Palasport Bassano.

After a quick lead with 8-2 and 16-10, the French were careless and fell to 19-21 in arrears. At the end of Puerto Rico had two more unforced errors (9-7) and France won the set with 25-23.

Set two then went clear. The french team of coach Yves Logeais brought the lead at the technical timeouts, with 8-5 and 16-7 home safely, and won with 25-17 after 21 minutes. Two aces by Earvin Ngapeth and Jean Oriol and more successful attacks (11-8) were crucial.

But now Puerto Rico was now more better by block better, with five points in set three (5-2) and more attacks (13-11) than the French, who like the set with 25-21 after 24 minutes. Ricardo Archilla turned the last ball with one attack.

In sentence four is the French players were back, but their safety and ended the game with 25-18. Best scorer for the winner was Earvin Ngapeth with 12 points (eight attacks, three blocks).

Best scorer for Puerto Rico was Antonio Lopez with 20 points (16 attacks, one block and three aces). One point made less Ricardo Archilla (attacks 14, four blocks, one ace).
