Zoran Terzic, Serbia coach: "The first day is always tough for everybody. We didn't play so well, but we did win. We can't be satisfied, however. We will have to play much better against teams like Russia and Korea if we hope to advance from here."

Norimasa Sakakuchi, Chinese Taipei coach: "Our movement was not good enough in our first match. We had difficulty with their height. We have to think of countermeasures for this. We hope to play better tomorrow against Japan. Hopefully the players will be more relaxed on the second day."
