Berlin, Germany, June 8, 2012 - Cuba v Czech Republic press conference
Cuba coach Orlando Samuels: "We are happy to win the opening match. We know that we have to play better tomorrow, though. We had too many ups and downs during the game and just made too many mistakes. Our service wasn´t that good and the block wasn’t efficient enough."
Cuba captain Wilfredo Leon: “It was a very good game; our team did a good job. We expected a tough match, it was a good start in the tournament for us."
Czech coach Stewart Bernard: “It was a tough game for us. We knew from the beginning that we had to play well. We had a great comeback in the first set, but lost the second one because of some faults. This can happen; we just made a few more mistakes than Cuba.”
Czech captain Ondrej Hudecek: “It was a tight match. We made two or three simple mistakes in the second set and it was too much. Furthermore we committed too many service mistakes. But that´s a risk we are aware of, because this is what our tactic looks like."
