Voleibol Playa votado como uno de los mejores momentos de los Juegos Olímpicos de Londres

Horse Guards Parade durante la final de voleibol playa de los Juegos Olímpicos

Lausana, Suiza, 20 de diciembre de 2012 – El Voleibol de playa ha sido escogido como uno de los mejores momentos de los Juegos Olímpicos de Londres 2012, por Olympic.org.

El sitio web, realizó una encuesta vía Facebook a sus fans olímpicos, para conocer sus momentos favoritos de los Juegos de Londres.

Más de 40.000 aficionados votaron en la encuesta, donde Usain Bolt y su defensa de los 100 y 200 metros se llevaron el número 1.

Otras selecciones incluyeron a Michael Phelps, levantando su medalla olímpica número 22, Mo Farah con los 5.000 y 10.000, junto con Estados Unidos ganando el oro en el baloncesto.

El No. 10 fue para el voleibol playa, bajo el título: "El Voleibol Playa encendió el Horse Guards Parade"

La página web decía que: "Pocos lugares en Londres captaron la imaginación tanto como el histórico Horse Guards Parade, que se transformó en un escenario de alta energía de voleibol playa para los Juegos".

El informe concluye: "Los asientos en este lugar icónico, fueron, en realidad, las entradas más populares en la ciudad."
