With coach Ki-Won Park still at the helm, the team hopes to further their 14th place finish at the 2012 World League, which allowed them to qualify for the 2013 season.

In the World League, Korea has finished 13th in 2008, 14th in 2009, 16th in 2010, 13th in 2011 and 14th in 2012.  The national team also finished third at the Asia Men’s Volleyball Championships in 2007 and 2009 and 11th at the 2007 World Cup.
