The 2013 FIVB Volleyball World League Intercontinental
Round features 18 teams split into three pools of six playing
two matches a week on a home-and-away basis, with the top
three world ranked teams in each pool playing three matches
at home and two away while the bottom three world ranked
teams playing twice at home and three times away. Six teams

teams from Pools A and B, plus the winners of Pool C and
the host country. Argentina, hosts of this year’s Finals, are
guaranteed a place among the top six, meaning that if they
finish first or second of their group, the best ranked team of
Pool A – not already qualified – will qualify.
