Portugal coach Juan Diaz: Congratulations to Serbia for the victory and for the way they played. We are happy with the point gained since the team played well and fought hard. After the third set, we felt some exhaustion. We will try to win tomorrow and continue to go after our goals, which are, first of all, to assure our status in the World League and, second, to fight for qualification for the final phase.
Portugal libero Carlos Teixeira: We knew that Serbia wanted the three points at all costs and we tried to put some pressure on them. I believe we achieved that and we are very happy for the match that we played today. After the bumpy week that we’ve been through, gaining this point makes us very proud.
Serbia coach Igor Kolakovic: We missed many important points and our performance registered many ups and downs. It’s clear that we are happy with the victory, but we wanted the three points. That is what we will try to win tomorrow.
Serbia captain Bojan Janic: We came here to win three points. The two points that we won today are good, but for us to reach our goals it’s very important to win again tomorrow and get the three points.
