Leon: "Victory is what counts"

Cuba captain Wilfredo Leon: "It is a victory and that's what what counts for us. I am not 100  per cent because I still have small adjustments to make."

Cuba coach Orlando Samuels: "Both matches were balanced. I am very satisfied to clinch the victory. Antonin Rouzier had a big match and we had problems blocking him. Leon had not played at this level for six months and he needs to work on his defense."

France captain Nicolas Maréchal: "There are still things to be adjusted and the confidence has to return, I think we are on the right track. Antonin had a great match, which is good for the team. Physically, I feel better. Playing an international competition after six months is not easy, but I'm back."

France coach Philippe Blain: "A point! It is necessary to begin with the positive. Tonight, Antonin Rouzier played the world level. Nicolas Maréchal also is back. What penalizes us are the errors we sometimes commit, stupid faults. The back defense is an area we have to work on."
