Lozano: We had nothing to lose

The captains and head coaches from Germany (left) and Japan during the press conference

Japan coach Tatsuya Ueta: "The first and the second set we played very well. The third set was very tight, both teams could have won. But than we stop playing our game."

Japan captain Daisuke Usami: "It has a great game for both teams. In the third and fourth set we lost our rhythm and strength."

Germany coach Raúl Lozano: "I would like to congratulate at first the Japanse team. Japan played very well and both teams had the possibility to win tonight. We had nothing to lose anymore in the third set and it was a hard work and we have to fight for every point. I am happy about the victory, it has been important for every single player."

Germany captain Robert Kromm: "No element worked at the beginning and we found our rhythm by good actions in the third set. It was a tight game, the Japanese team started fast and with a lot of pressure we found our game at least and scored finally."
