We were too relaxed: Serbia captain Janic |

Serbia captain Bojan Janic: ''I'd like to congratulate the
Finnish team for their victory. They played very good and they were committed
to this match and to winning. We thought they were an easy opponent, but we
were wrong. So we entered the match very relaxed – as we saw, too much. We hope
we'll do better in tomorrow's match.''
Finland captain Tuomas Sammelvuo: ''I would like
to thank Serbia for the great game. We are very happy for this victory. We were
great in blocks and serves, and that's what made the difference between the two
teams. Our tactical services allowed us to win tonight's match.''
Serbia coach Igor Kolakovic: ''Congratulations to
the Finnish team for their victory and the great game. They showed a great
desire to win tonight. When we don't start playing well, everything can change.
We had a psychological problem and we weren't able to solve all the other
problems we had on court. We'll try to change it for the second match and to
win. We are absolutely disappointed with tonight's loss, but we hope that it
will help us to regain our strength.''
Finland coach Daniel Castellani: ''We are happy
for the players, I have a new team and new players and they have a new coach
and we have worked hard in the last four weeks. We played a good game, with lot
of defence and good blocks. We hope we'll win tomorrow again, of course, but it
will be a very difficult task.''
