France aiming for second win

Cuba's Wilfredo Leon Venero attacks the ball against Nicolas Marechal, Jean Philippe Sol and Antonin Rouzier of France
Paris, France, June 22, 2011 – France will be looking for their second victory in the 2011 FIVB World League when they face Cuba in Paris on Friday and then again in Montbéliard on Sunday. When the teams met earlier in the competition, again on French territory, Cuba won 3-1 in Tours and 3-2 in Toulouse.

The first match takes place at 18:30GMT and the second game at 17:00GMT. There is still doubt over French libero Jennia Grebennikov, who was injured during the last match in Italy. French officials are working overtime to help the young libero recover but he faces a late fitness test. Guillaume Samica is also injured and definitely misses the next matches.

Better news of spiker Marien Moreau, who was injured in the match against Cuba in Toulouse but is now ready to train again. French coach Philippe Blain will decide on Thursday if Moreau will be in the 12 for Friday along with Antonin Rouzier. Nicolas Marechal will be the captain.
