Povoa de Varzim, Portugal, May 28, 2011 – The electrifying match between Portugal and Finland will continue on Sunday – with less mistakes, both sides have promised.
The spectators were thrilled with Saturday’s exciting play and spectacular plays from both teams and there is likely to be more in store on Sunday, when the fans will once again show their colours.
Juan Diaz, the Portuguese head coach, promised: “The team will try to maintain this level of play, but with fewer errors. It will be very tough, but it should be good for the fans, who were excellent in the way they supported us throughout the entire match. We will count upon their support once again tomorrow to win again.”
Tuomas Sammelvuo, the Finnish captain, replied: “It will be another good battle and we will have to play better in order to be able to win.”
On the other hand, Joao Jose, the Portuguese captain is looking for another triumph: “I hope that the team will act in the same way they played today with the same attitude and cohesion, in order to offer another victory to the Portuguese.”
