Profile
Robert Tarr was forced at an early age to create volleyball opportunities for himself. An outside hitter (194cm, 88kg) with a jump-reach recorded at 350 cm, he holds his strengths in team-play and adaptation.
During the winter of 2010-11, Tarr played in Doha, Qatar for the Al Ahli volleyball club. He has also played in Brazil with the Sercomtel Londrina volleyball club and in Puerto Rico for the Narajito Changos club team, immediately upon graduating from Long Beach State.
Tarr was part of the US teams that won three gold medals at three consecutive Pan American Cups (2010, 2009 and 2008). At the 2010 edition of the Pan American Cup, Tarr was the United States’ second-leading scorer and fifth overall. He was the United States’ second-leading blocker and third overall.
