  Opposite Gabriel “Gabe” Gardner, has 13 years national team and international experience. He has played professionally in 10 countries, winning three championships overseas.

Gardner (209cm, 103kg) is a two-time Olympian, most recently winning a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Games. He was also a member of the 2008 team that won the FIVB World League, the Four Nations’ Tournament and the NORCECA Continental Olympic Qualifying Championship.

Since 2008, Gardner has played for club teams in Russia and Italy.

Gabe and wife, Julia married in Athens, Greece, in 2004, following the Olympic Games. The two reside in Sacramento, Calif., where Gabe is club director and founder of Going Gold Volleyball in Sacramento County, Calif. The couple has two sons: Harper and Finn.
