Profile

Volleyball experts are comparing him to Ivan Miljkovic. He plays as a correction player, in the same team in which Miljkovic gained his reputation – VC "Partizan” from Belgrade. This team has waited for a long time for a new star to appear, until Milan Zarkovic, coach of the team played him.
Captain of the junior national team last season he has already stepped up to the senior squad. He made his debut in the World League against China, and played a total of eight matches. He was officially named the Best Young player of the Serbian Wiener Stadtische Superleague last season and was among the best scorers in the Serbian National Championship for the third consecutive seaso.
With the Youth Boys of Serbia Atanasijevic won the gold medal at the 2009 FIVB Volleyball Boys' World Championships, and was named MVP. Last year, he won the bronze medal at the European Championships played in Belarus, where he was named the Best Spiker.
