  Frederico Siqueira was born in 1983 in Brazil, and is the son of a Brazilian father and Portuguese mother.

His first match for Portugal was back in 2006 in the Lusophone Games. Fred is a young, 206-cm middle-blocker, and physically very gifted. His strong point is in attack, where his physique and strength make the difference.

He began his career with AA Coimbra and Esmoriz and in 2007 began a tour of European volleyball clubs including Unicaja Canada Vera (ESP), GFCO Ajaccio Volley Ball (FRA), Group D’arte Averbode (BEL) and currently at the EA Patron (GRE). This path enabled him to gain greater competitive and life experience.

The best result within the national team was European League Championship title last year.
