  Carlos Fidalgo was born in 1987, in Oeiras and started to play volleyball at the age of 14 at the club SL Benfica where he played for 6 years, afterwards he transferred for one year for the northern club Castelo da Maia GC, returning in the following season to his first club for another 2 years. In the present is experiencing for the first time the reality of playing abroad, namely at the club Webton Twent from The Netherlands. With 198-cm height, Fidalgo is a young setter, with excellent physical conditions, that sees his effort and hard work throughout the past years acknowledge. He played for several years as middle-blocker, but nowadays people already recognize in him setter qualities. Has been evolving with his experience at the national team, that has granted him a greater consistence and tactical capacity. Very competitive, is also an excellent blocker. His best result with the senior national team was the European League Champion title conquered last year.
