Valdir Sequeira was born in Angola in 1981. His first club was SL Benfica, in 2001, followed by AA Coimbra where he played for two seasons. He then had his first experience playing abroad with two seasons in Italy at Prisma Taranto, where he won the A2 Italian championship, and one season in Germany at the General Haching.
In 2007 he returned to Portugal playing for Vitoria SC before returning to Italy the following year. There he played for Monini Marconi Spoleto (07/08), Stamplast Martina Franca (08/09), Copra Volley Piacenza (09/10) and his current club Eurogroup Gela.
