Setter Eemi Tervaportti is a third-generation volleyball player. His father and mother played volleyball and his grandfather Arto Kari is former coach of the Finnish women's national team and also former general secretary of the Finnish Volleyball Association.
This is his second year with the men's national team. In 2010 he won the Finnish Championship with Sun Volley Oulu and also the Finnish Cup. In 2011 he played in for France club Avignon.
