Profile
Joao Fidalgo was born in 1986, in Espinho and started to play volleyball at the age of eight in SC Espinho. He continued to play in Espinho, where he won a Beginners National Championship, until 2005 when he transferred to Esmoriz GC.
From 2006 to 2009 he played for GC Vilacondense before moving to current club Vitoria SC. The 172-cm libero is very competitive and has an enormous will to evolve. He is a good receiver and excellent in defense, with a good capacity for reading the match and adjusting. The best results for him were in 2006 with a first place finish in the Lusophone Games that were held in Macao and the European League Championship title win last year.
