  At only 1.8m tall 25-year-old setter Patrick Steuerwald is nevertheless one of the greatest among the team. Steuerwald captivates through his technique and his comprehension of the game itself and is calling the shots for his 20 or 30cm taller team mates. With his former club Generali Haching Steuerwald he was able to defend the German Cup and was awarded Most Valuable Player in 2010. During the World League he was able to establish himself as first setter under the eyes of coach Raúl Lozano. In 2010/11 he played for the first time abroad at Italian club Perugia.
