Many at home did not believe in this team - Kolakovic

.

Serbia player Marko Podrascanin: I want to thank Cuba for the good match they played. We are very happy with the end result and really we did not expect to step onto the podium.

Serbian coach Igor Kolakovic: It was a very hard match looking forward to the bronze medal because there were many people in our country that were not confident in this team. It was a very exciting match until the last ball. It is a great achievement for us.

Cuba captain Robertlandy Simon: Congratulations to Serbia, they played an outstanding match. We had too many ups and downs and we could not close as we should the sets.

Cuba coach Orlando Samuels: We expected to win the third place because we were playing pretty well, not only in the Final Round but also during the Intercontinental Round. We lack experience, it is a team that needs to learn to behave at this level and know how this competition is. We had some internal problems between the setter and spiker on how some balls had to be played and those are things that can not happen.
