Again, the Sport City Coliseum puts on its loveliest attire in celebration of the corresponding games in the 2007 World League. This beautiful site, where most world level competition matches have been played, opens its gates to the teams of Serbia, Russia and Egypt, and our fans open their hearts to the invigorating, thrilling Volleyball World League.
If in the 2006 League we failed to qualify for the final stage after struggling throughout the preliminary stage with favorable results, for this new edition our goals are well set and we are but pleased to go back on the awarding podium, for which we count on the courage of our players and a Technical Management staff consolidated in this type of competition.
The presence of already established young figures like Roberlandi Simón, Yoandry Díaz, Michael Sánchez, Raydel Corrales, Jorge Luis Sánchez, Yadier Sánchez, Oriol Camejo along with the experienced captain Pavel Pimienta, Odelvis Dominico, Yasser Portuondo, and other valuable players of the new Cuban volleyball generation fills us with hope in accomplishing our goals.
