A devastating Brazilian team defeat Venezuela in three sets
In spite of being classified for the World League finals, the Olympic Champions keep the rhythm and beat Venezuela: 3-0 (25/16, 25/20, 25/21). Brazil has the best performance of all the teams that play the World League, with ten wins and just one loss.

Forcing the service, Brazil took control of the first set from the beginning and opened a five-point advantage (12/7). Venezuela tried to react, but failed at the service in crucial times. With an effective blocker, Brazil did not have difficult to won the set: 25/16. Dante made the difference for Brazil, with seven points (five attacks and two blocks).

Venezuela starts better the second set and at the first time out had a three-point advantage (8/5). The visitor team made five block points in the set, but failed in the attack and in the reception and Brazil tied in 10 points. The Olympic Champions made 24/16 and despite a little loss of concentration at the end of the set, won 25/20.

In the third set Brazil kept the rhythm. With strong defenses of the libero Escadinha and supported by an enthusiastic public of 8.000 spectators, the host team won the set 25/21 and the game 3-0.
