Serbia and Montenegro achieves first win in 2004 World League
Havana.- Serbia and Montenego achieved its first win in the 2004 World Volleyball after beating Cuba 3-1 (25-21, 25-17, 23-25, 31-29) in nearly two hours Friday night at Havana's Ciudad Deportiva Hall.
The 2000 Sydney Olympic champions up imposed a better attack and block to hold off the emerging Cuban squad, who won the third set and forced the Balkans to play up to 31 points to obtain the victory.
Both teams will play again Saturday night at the same hall.

The young Cuban team obtained its most important victory in over three years, the first against the Sydney Olympic champions since 1998, when the Island claimed the World League title.
