Bulgaria is the second finalist in Samokov

Bulgaria setter Lora Kitipova guided her team against Kazakhstan to get the final

Samokov, Bulgaria, August  16, 2014 - Bulgaria is the second finalist of 2014 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Group 3 Finals. Vladimir Kuzyutkin's girls defeated Kazakhstan 3-1 (25-16, 25-23, 21-25, 25-14) and will face Czech Republic tomorrow in the final. Volleyball specialist claimed exactly those teams to meet in the match for the 21st place in the tournament and to fight for promotion in Group 2 next year.

Rabadzhieva, Nikolova and Vasileva gave quite a start for Bulgaria in the first set spiking hard and provided a bomb of emotions for the fans in Arena Samokov. Powerful Mudritskaya tried to respond for Kazakhstan but her teammates  failed in defense to lose the set at 16 points.

It seemed that Bulgaria will march to an easy win in the match when they lead 10-6 and 14-7 with 3 aces of Vasileva. A moment lack of concentration cost them an equalization at 19th point and even the role of catching team at 21-22 for Kazakhstan. Kuzyutkin put Yaneva and Nenova on court and this move gave his team the set 25-23.

Nine points by Mudritskaya were the main reason Kazakhstan not to leave the match after the third set. Accompanied by Matveyeva, she somehow managed to pull her teammates out of the black hole and gave them strength to survive a set more. On the other side of the court Elitsa Vasileva just stopped scoring and that changed the team, even though Rabadzhieva added 5 more points to her score sheet. Kazakhstan went ahead at 5th point and kept 4-5 points difference till the end of the set 25-21.

Winning the second set was all Kazakhstan could do in this match being swiped out in the fourth set 25-14 by raging Bulgaria. Strong serve and a kills by Strashimira Filipova and Vasileva gave no chance to guests even to think of something more. Zarkova, Nikolova and Rabadzhieva nuanced the picture in victorious colors for Bulgaria.

Rabadzhieva closed 19 points in the score sheet, Filipova and Nikolova added 15 each. 18 points were written by the name of Tatyana Mudritskaya from Kazakhstan.

Tomorrow Bulgaria will play vs Czech Republic at 19:10 local time and Kazakhstan and Croatia will go for the bronze at 16:10.
