Brazil coach Ze Roberto "Now we must focus on the final round"

Ze Roberto says Brazil need to keep their momentum going into the final round

Almaty, Kazakhstan, August 18, 2013 – Coach Jose Roberto Guimaraes expressed his delight with Brazil's performance in their 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-10) against Kazakhstan and looked ahead to the 2013 World Grand Prix finals in Japan.

"
I am very pleased with how my team played. I think our blocking and defence was a high point. Now we must start to focus on the final round in Sapporo, which is very important to us."

"We are thankful for this opportunity to come here. Kazakhstan always brings us good luck."

Brazil hitter Sheilla Castro was happy with the team's performance
Kazakhstan.

"We were on top of our goal today to obtain three very important points. The previous matches were also important in helping us get into the final round in Sapporo."

Kazakhstan coach Oleksandr Gutor was happy to host Brazil and hoped his team learned the lessons of playing against the Olympic champions.

"
It has become a tradition for Brazil to win [here]. That's the next step for them towards the gold medal. Brazil is a long-standing leader in world volleyball and it was a delight to have played against them."

"They had very strong service in the third set! For us, it was an opportunity to improve our skills."

Kazakhstan captain Korinna Ishimtseva was grateful for the experience.

"We started rather well and even tried to make Brazil play our pace, but we failed. Congratulations [Brazil] and thank you for the game."
