The 2013 World Grand Prix marked Algeria’s
debut in the tournament, when they were selected by the African Volley
Confederation to represent the continent along with Kenya. Although they failed
to win a set in the course of their three defeats, the experience should serve
them well this year. They had previously lost out to Kazakhstan and Chinese Taipei
respectively in their qualification campaigns for the tournament in 2011 and
