Serbia coach says he's 'satisfied but still concerned'

The Serbian team scored three victories and the maximum of nine points in the three matches in Santo Domingo

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, August 4, 2013 – The lack of intensity showed by Serbia against Puerto Rico was a source of concern for Zoran Terzic, but the Serbian coach was satisfied with their three wins in Santo Domingo.

Zoran Terzic, coach of Serbia: “We are satisfied with the result but at the same time I am concerned with the low intensity and lack of concentration we showed in the last two sets. Congratulations to Puerto Rico for their good game. They won a set with dedication and that’s good for a young team without a lot of international experience.”

Rafael Olazagasti, coach of Puerto Rico: “Even though we increased our level we lost again and nobody likes to lose. We could never close after arriving to point 20 and had plenty opportunities. Serbia started playing with the corners but finished down the middle and beat us with their strong attack. For the next round I am keeping the same team and maybe one or two additions to reinforce the libero position.”

Maja Ognjenovic, captain of Serbia: “The important thing is that we got the victory but we know that we decreased in our game level. We have to give credit to Puerto Rico because they never gave up and stayed close.”

Yarimar Rosa, captain of Puerto Rico: “We improved our game level and we are greatly satisfied. We made the adjustments after the first set, but couldn’t do the job after point 18. We have improved game by game and now have the chance to do a good job at home in the next round. The opponents are tough but we will concentrate first in Dominican Republic and the Brazil, the Olympic champions. We never have played against Bulgaria.”
