Kazahkstan "quality opponent" says Algeria coach

Kazakhstan coach Baitureyen Bakhytzhan said that his side will take the next game on Saturday very seriously
Algeria coach Ahmed Boukacem:

"This is the first official match for the Algeria squad since November 2010 at the last FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship in Japan and for me it was my first outing at the helm of this team.

“We had a quality opponent, very experienced and accustomed to international competition contrary to our young team that is still under construction and preparing like this will bring maturity. They [Kazakhstan] posed considerable problems with their serve and block because of the fact that they have a number of athletes with experience who are tall and possess good technical skills. Our team has not shown its full potential, mainly due to stress. It was only in the third set that the players began to feel comfortable and showed their skill. The rest day [on Friday] will allow us to review the first game and to draw on the necessary lessons to be in a better position for the game on Saturday.”

Fatima Oukazi Zohra, Algeria captain:

"We were very tense, and our team is young, we tried to make a good replica of the Kazakhstan team but they are very experienced. We will try to correct our mistakes for Saturday's game."

Kazakhstan coach Baitureyen Bakhytzhan:

“There is a lot of pressure on Algeria and it often is more at home. But will take the next game very seriously."

Pyurova Tatyana Kazakhstan captain:

"I have great respect for this team. Algeria contain good players but today we were better because we were concentrating against an opponent who was stressed."
