Thailand team hopes to improve their techniques through this tournament, says Thailand coach

Russia compliments Thailand for the good fight
Macau, China, August 24, 2011 - Thailand vs Russia press conference

Thailand captain Wilavan Apinyapong: “Congratulations to Russia.  We tried our best and gave our best performance. We did not get the good result because the opponent Russia team is very strong and they gave a good performance. We are very happy to be here and we will try to do our best for the next game.”

Russia captain Maria Borisenko: “Thank you to the Thailand team for the good game. Our team had a good game. Sometimes we made mistakes because of lapse of concentration.”

Thailand head coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai: “I would like to say congratulations once again to Russia for winning today.  We had a really hard game; it was difficult to get each point. We had a game plan but there are weaknesses in our techniques, and so we must learn more in order to do better. I hope my players can improve their techniques through this tournament.”

Russia head coach Vladimir Kuzyutkin: “This match shows there are problems in our game.  Congratulations to the Thailand coach for the good match and for putting up a good fight. I am sure they will continue to fight in the remaining matches just like today.”
