We played according to coach's plan: Thai captain

Thailand captain Wilavan Apinyapong says her team play according to the coach's plan.
Peru captain Elena Keldibekova: "We did not play well. Most of us are new, young players. We also spent less time training together. We have shown our strength and fight, but they just did not work out well today."

Thailand captain Wilavan Apinyapong: "I'm very glad to win our first match in the World Grand Prix. We played according to our coach's plan and tried to reduce our unforced mistakes. However, I still have more to learn ahead of the tougher match against Cuba."

Peru coach Luca Cristofani: "My players are young. Four of them joined the team shortly before we left for Thailand. Most of my players competed in the World Cup and six of them are newcomers. However, I think it's important to give our new players chances to play in major tournaments like this. We have more to learn and our new players must get more experience by competing more and more."

Thailand coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai: "The World Grand Prix is a very big tournament, with 16 world-class teams participating. Peru fought hard against us, but they just dropped from their best today. Victory over Peru is not that easy. We have to double our attempts in beating them. A daunting task awaits us in the next match when we have to challenge Cuba.”
