Argentina
captain Emilce Sosa: ”It wasn't really a good match today. We
didn't perform at all like we did with Dominican Republic. We hope to
improve before the next match.”
Poland captain Milena Radecka: "We
are very happy with this 3-0 victory. Team Argentina played much
better than they did against us last week in Bydgoszcz. We didn't
play equally, we had many ups and downs, but we hope it will be
better."
Argentina
coach Horacio Bastit: “I want to congratulate Poland and
Polish coach for the match. We don't feel good right now, we play
very well and we didn't show everything we could in front of such an
amazing crowd. We really hope to play better throughout the weekend,
because the environment here is great and we would like to come
back.”
Poland
coach Alojzy Swiderek: “I am happy with the result, but not
with the way we played. I think both teams' problem here is the lack
of experience. It is the first time that we have to face such system
of play and the frequency of matches. I think that today we played a
little bit better. I expected bigger pressure from the Argentinians,
especially after what they showed at the end of last weekend. We have
many problems with spike. And unfortunately we will still have them
for some time. You can play as well as the opponent lets you. Today
we played a little bit better in spike, a lot better in block. If it
wasn't for Zuzanna Efimienko's series of service errors, we would be
happy with this element as well.”
