Dominican Republic captain: 'We started
the game very well, then Poland made some adjustments and from the
second set Dominican team was not the same. I think Poland is a great
team, they made a lot of changes this year and improved a lot.
Poland captain: 'We are very happy that
we won today. I think we analyzed yesterday's mistakes and improved a
lot. The team looked better in defense and reception, the setters
could do whatever they want.'
Dominican Republic head coach: 'Today's
match was more or less like yesterday's. We've started well in
reception and service. We have to get used to this, we have a lot of
changes in the squad. We have been playing against a lot of very
strong and experienced teams but I understand that it is a part of
developing and I hope we will improve.'
Poland head coach: 'This match was very
good for us. We had to fight just in the first set, the next two were
easy for our team. I don't have much to say, I don't want to make up
the history to something, that wasn't here. In the second set the
Dominicans tried a little, but in the third one the coached changed
the line-up and it didn't work. I think there is some tactics for the
future in this, but it is not my business, I'm happy we 3-0 and saved
some power for tomorrow's game with the USA. The Americans is a very
unique team, they play like they were training, not playing in the
important tournament. Tall girls block and spike very light, and it
looks like they were playing with volleyball. They are calm. Their
physical parameters are amazing, so I don't know yet what we are
going to do tomorrow. We will definitely be very determined.'
