Germany coach Giovani Guidetti: "Today, my team did what they have to do and it was a good reaction after yesterday's game. Everybody was disappointed the way we lost against Japan. Japan played very good, but we didn't do enough good on the easy things on our side of the court. Today, we were much more focused on our side of the court. It was an easy match for us and I'm happy the players did what I asked of them. I expect a good match tomorrow (against Poland)."
"Today, our focus was mainly on our sideout. We analyzed yesterday's match and after a good reception and after a bad reception our sideout was much lower than the sideout of Japan. We had to improve this and we focused on the way to attack because our sideouts have to have a better rhythm, so at least after we have good reception, we have to score more."
Germany captain Margareta Kozuch: "I'm really happy about the victory today. After yesterday, we made good preparations and tried to make things better today. We made good steps today and we can get better step by step. I'm happy about the last set when we were behind Chinese-Taipei two or three points and were able to win the set and win the match."
Germany No. 2 Kathleen Weiss: "I'm happy we won the match 3-0. We played a good match and even if we had some times where we didn't play so good, we were sure we could win the match. So we are satisfied."
"As setter, I think the setter always knows what to do. I always have a plan in the match about how I want to play. I also take care of my attackers and try to make our strenghts even better and make our weak points less big."
