'I think it was a hard match. There
were a lot more long, difficult rallies. I was sure we would have the
fifth set.', said The United States captain.
Germany captain: 'Congratulations to
the Americans, they played very well, and they brought us a lot of
problems. Today we played much better as a team, since I had some
problems with spike. Hearing my name screamed by the Polish
spectators was really nice, it was great to play in this atmosphere.
Now we are thinking about tomorrow's match against the Dominicans.
The United States head coach:
'Congratulations to Germany for a good game. I think we played good
enough to get to the tie break. Unfortunately, we didn't get it. We
played better than yesterday and we hope we will improve before
tomorrow's game against Poland.'
Germany head coach: 'It was a very
difficult match. The United States have made some great improvement
since last year. They were amazing in block. Most of all I want to
congratulate my team, because they didn't give up, they really wanted
to win this match. Sometimes they impress me with their determination
and I am very proud of them.'
