We are very sorry that in fourth WGP tournament organized in Poland we still could not win the game - says Polish team head coach Jerzy Matlak
Poland captain Dorota Swieniewicz: „I would like to congratulate the Thailand team who played very good match, much better than us in service and attack using and passing by our block. We didn’t stick to our tactics, except for the first set in which we had difficult service. Later on we had huge problems in reception and that is why we lost the game.”
Thailand captain Wilavan Apinyapong: „We are very happy with this victory. It wasn’t easy game for us as Poland has a very good team and higher players than us. During the game we had some problems and made a lot of mistakes so we are really lucky to win this game.”
Poland Head Coach Jerzy Matlak: „We lost this game due to the catastrophic mistakes in reception which shouldn’t have happened at this level. In tie - break when we were leading I wanted to improve the reception and put two libero players on the field. Even though we made 5 mistakes in a row – in reception and in attack. Then we lost the advantage and that costed us this defeat. We are extremely sorry because in the fourth WGP tournament in Poland we still couldn’t win the game.”
Thailand Head Coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai: „I would like to thank the Polish team as today we learned a lot of technical aspects from them. It’s not easy to play against the hosts team. Our team had problem with the concentration as we have a lot of young players. Polish service made a lot of trouble to our reception players. Polish team has also a high block so it's difficult to pass them. The game was very close and we had a big luck at the end of the tie-break.
