Head coach Mr. Manabe Masayoshi:
"I
n the first set, we lost many points due to the errors in serve reception and blocking and it was difficult for me. I felt the dominent power of Brazil and we should improve our serve reception up to 80 % and then we can have a better match against Brazil."

Captain Ms. Erika Araki:
"The first two sets were very difficult for us because of the power and height of Brazil. In the third set, we put in a better performance. I was a little disappointed because we even knew their patterns and our coaching staff have us great instructions to stop the Brazilian attack but we still couldn't not stop their attacks. I think Brazil were very strong in terms of their concentration level."

Brazil

Head coach Mr. Jose Roberto Guimaraes:
"Japan played well and they deserved to win the third set against us."

Captain Ms. Danielle Lins Dani Lins:
"Overall, it was a good match.  We struggled in the middle of the match because the Japanese played a very fast-paced game and their playing style was so different from ours."
