Team Profile Coach Profile
Korea’s women's team traditionally depends on its quick combination play and fighting spirit. The players are not so tall, but feature the most excellent defense among the world’s best teams. The team’s best ranking in the Olympic Games was 3rd place in Montreal in 1976, while in the Asian games, the team took the title in Hiroshima in 1994.

In 2006, Korea’s women's team was mostly composed of young players as a result of the program for a shift in generations. In the long term view, the Korean Volleyball Association will maintain this team for the 2008 Olympic Games.
For the first time, I have charge of the Korea national women's team as head coach, I will do my best to make the Korean team strong enough to compete with the world’s most powerful teams for the 2006 World Grand Prix, World Championship and 2008 Asia Games.
