Cuba slains Germany. But it was not so easy
Cuba beated Germny 3 - 0 in the opening game of the Pool B Fivb World Grand Prix in Reggio Calabria. Too big in general terms the difference between the two teamsa very corageous game facing Cuba without any fear. The Caribbeans payed some defensive mistakes and some drops of concentration. But the quality of the attack was enough to clinch the first target of the qualification pool.

Italy hammered Republica Dominicana 3-0 in the first game for both teams of the Pool B Fivb World Grand Prix in Reggio Calabria. It was an authentic one way match. Too big difference between the two teams with the Caribbeans having some problems in receiving and Italy showing a very effective volleyball without many mistakes. Main character of the game Valentina Fiorin who gave a strong contribution to the Italian success.

Cuba straight over Domenican Republic for the Caribbean derby
Cuba beated Dominican Republic 3 - 0 in the second game for both teams of the Pool B of the Fivb World Grand Prix. A good training for the team coached by Felipe Calderon. Corageous Dominicans faced one of the best team of the tournament without any fear. Despite a strong technical difference between the two teams, Francisco Cruz squad had the opportunity to take the lead in the first set Cuba won at the extra points. The Cuban comeback arrived like a thunder in the crucial moments of the match. Point after point, enough to win despite some drops of concentration.

Germany clinched the very first success in the Pool B of the Fivb Grand Prix in Reggio Calabria. After a very good first set, the Germans suffered the well organized attacking patterns of the Carribeans who thake the lead in the second and third period. Then the Germand standards reverted at the state of origin. A great performance in fourth and fifth set to clinch a well deserved success.

Cuba won the Pool B in the Fivb Grand Prix in Reggio Calabria after beating Italy in the last game. The Caribbeans dominated the match vith great performance in serving and in attack. Italy tried to answer with some various attacking patterns but they paid the non perfect conditions of some of their players. Good performances from Carrillo, Ruiz and Martinez. On the Italian side, the answer came from Elisa Cella who tried to take Italy near in the score.
