Germany failed to stop China's fierce attack
The thundering applause and cheers from the audience in Hong Kong Coliseum could not boost the spirit of China. Germany outstshone China and took the lead before the first technical timeout. Germany consistently slammed valiant spikes and was able to take control of the set till the second technical timeout. The #3 player in China, Yang Hao, excelled in serving and spiking narrowed the gap to 22:20. China achieved an incredible comeback 23:23. China hang and finally won the set.

Despite losing the first set, confidence of the Germany team was not weakened at the beginning of the second set and the competition remained keen. The amusingly clever captain of China, Feng Kun, demonstrated considerable quick sharp strategies which enabled China to control the rhythm of the set. Morale of the Germany team faltered. Slipshod receiving and serving errors contributed to the failure in getting the second set. China took the second set superbly at 25:15.

The German players tried to fight back in the third set and scored three points ahead China before the first technical timeout. China was forced to call a timeout so as to regain the form. Germany did not allow the Chinese players to narrow the margin by a series of aggressive attacks and solid defence. Germany had put China under tight position and a second timeout was requested. With the strongest mentality and tactful strategies led to China's glorious triumph.
