World Grand Prix 2005 - Press Conference

Press conference

Cuba beat Netherlands 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-20) - duration 1:12
18-Jul, start time: 12:35, end time: 13:47 - Attendance: 5'030
City: Sendai; Hall : Sendai City Gymnasium
AVITAL SELINGER (NETHERLANDS HEAD COACH): "We did not play well and there are some reasons for it. First we are tired, but so are Cuba and all the teams, and maybe we are too young for this kind of high level."

INGRID VISSER (NETHERLANDS No. 15, CAPTAIN): "We did our best today but Cuba was better. We tried to hit big serves and execute good blocking with our height, but it did not work."

LUIS FELIPE CALDERON (CUBA HEAD COACH): "Holland is a great team, but today our players had confidence. I realised the confidence coming back to them and, with this win, I hope we are going in the right direction."

ROSIR CALDERON (CUBA No. 12): "Today's match was very, very important to decide the final rankings. Holland tried to challenge us but we successfully held them off."
