World Grand Prix 2005 - Press Conference

Press conference

Brazil beat Netherlands 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-14) - duration 1:14
13-Jul, start time: 14:05, end time: 15:19 - Attendance: 5'950
City: Sendai; Hall : Sendai City Gymnasium
CAROLINE GATTAZ (BRAZIL No. 5): "It was not an easy match. In the first two sets, both sides had a chance. But we did what we had to do point by point and it paid off."

JOSE GUIMARAES (BRAZIL HEAD COACH): "We instructed them on two key issues: serving, and the combination of blocking and digging. They did what I expected, although Holland is a very tall team and is a good blocking team."

MANON FLIER (NETHERLANDS No. 12): "Obviously we are disappointed. We did okay in the first two sets but could not win the crucial points in the last stages. In the third we made too many mistakes."

AVITAL SELINGER (NETHERLANDS HEAD COACH): "We tried to seek the right rhythm but we could not, even in the first two sets, which were close. In the third set Brazil found their rhythm and forced us off balance."
