10-Jul, start time: 15:45, end time: 17:10 - Attendance: 10'000
City: Hong Kong; Hall : Hong Kong Coliseum
China, head coach, Chen Zhonghe
Our team has actually tried our best but our performance was not up to expectation and satisfaction. We lost many opportunities to earn points throughout the sets. Italy played very well today especially in their attacks, spikes and setting. They could check our attacks and settings.

Our preparation against strong team was not so good. Our spikers are young and inexperienced, so they need more intensive training. We will try our best in every match.

Italy, head coach, Marco Bonitta
I am very happy as this was an excellent game. It was a big day for Italy. We only had two to three experienced players. The rest of them are still young and inexperienced.
But today, they all played all to the same level.
China team played very fast and performed well in their blocks. They had tactics that divert our players from the net.

Italy, captain # 15, Antonella Del Core
It was not an easy match today. We felt good as we had performed very well today. We could be qualified for the World Grand Prix in Japan only if we beat China.
